The Writer's OrderSM

Credo

One's own truth can only be discovered and used by the subconscious, which requires an extended, deep personal journey into oneself.

One's own truth cannot and shall not be spoken aloud to others; it may only be written in one's story.

Everyone's journey is unique and solitary, but one may use guides, bring companions, and possess a muse.

The most difficult journey is the journey to one's own truth.

The journey always brings change, which also involves loss; loss always brings greater gain.

Good versus evil is about your characters.

The goal of the Order is to discover one's own characters and story or stories, and to write them.

The process of discovery is a process of rectification of what has prevented you from discovering, and of learning to see and experience your truth, and requires learning special new skills, as detailed in the book, “Archetypes for Writers: Using the Power of Your Subconscious.”

The manual for the Writer's Order is “Archetypes for Writers: Using the Power of Your Subconscious,” by the founder of the Order, Jennifer Van Bergen.

Members of the order adopt the principles, premises, and practices set forth in the manual.
